The OnePlus 13 launched very recently but only in one market thus far. The phone arrived to its home market, China. Well, according to the company, 100,000 OnePlus 13 have been sold in no time.

OnePlus sold 100,000 OnePlus 13 very soon after the phone was announced

This information comes from Li Jie, the President of OnePlus China. So, it’s essentially coming straight from the company. He said, during a press conference, that the company managed to sell 100,000 OnePlus 13 units within 30 minutes of launch.

The OnePlus 13’s based model is only around $30 more expensive in China, than the OnePlus 12 was. We’re looking at the same RAM and storage setup here, 12GB RAM + 256GB of storage. That’s the most affordable variant.

Li Jie said the following: “Our priority is to make great products”, when commenting the increase in price. He also added that phone usage cycles have become longer, and that users replace their phones less frequently.

On top of that, he added that the cost of chip manufacturing has increased, and the prices of memory and storage have also peaked. Either way, the OnePlus 13 has managed to attract consumers in its home market, it seems.

The global launch is coming

If you’re wondering about the global launch of the phone, well, it’s coming. We’re not sure when exactly will the device launch, but it’s possible OnePlus is aiming for a January launch window. The OnePlus 12 was launched globally in January.

The thing is, the OnePlus 12 launched in China in December, not October. So there’s also a chance that the OnePlus 13 will make it to global markets sooner than we think. The company could be aiming for a November or December launch even, we’ll see.

The OnePlus 13 has all the bells and whistles you’d expect out of a flagship smartphone. It is fueled by the Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC. On top of that, it has plenty of fast RAM and storage, not to mention a brand new display from BOE. A very capable camera setup is also included, and the same goes for a large battery and blazing-fast charging. If you’d like to know more about its specs, click here.
