As 2024 wraps up, several smartphone companies are gearing up to launch exciting flagship devices. Among these are the highly anticipated OnePlus 13, iQOO 13, and Realme GT 7 Pro, all featuring Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. Each of these phones promises big upgrades in performance, display, camera capabilities, and battery life, catering to tech lovers who want the latest and greatest. Here’s what each device brings to the table.

OnePlus 13

The OnePlus 13, already available in China, showcases impressive upgrades over previous models. It’s powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite, Qualcomm's latest high-performance processor, which ensures smooth multitasking and gaming. One standout feature is its large 6,000mAh battery, giving users more time between charges—a big win for heavy phone users.

Design-wise, the OnePlus 13 has a modern look with a quad-curved design and flat edges, making it comfortable to hold. The 6.82-inch OLED display supports a 1440p resolution and an adaptive refresh rate of 1-120Hz, meaning it adjusts smoothly for both gaming and casual scrolling. It also boasts an impressive peak brightness of 4,500 nits, which keeps the screen visible even in bright sunlight.

OnePlus didn’t skimp on durability either, as the phone comes with an IP69 rating for excellent water and dust protection. A large vibration motor provides haptic feedback similar to a gaming controller, enhancing the interactive experience. For photography enthusiasts, there’s a triple 50-megapixel rear camera setup co-developed with Hasselblad, which includes a periscope lens for better zoom and a wide-angle lens that can also take macro shots. A 32-megapixel front camera adds high-quality selfies to the mix.

The OnePlus 13 is currently running ColorOS 15 on Android 15 in China, but the global version will use OxygenOS 15. Charging is fast, too, with support for 100W wired and 50W wireless charging. It’s expected to launch globally, including in India, by January 2025.

iQOO 13

Another top choice, the iQOO 13, has launched in China and is expected to make its way to India by late 2024. Powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, it’s paired with up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage, giving users plenty of space and speed. iQOO added its custom Q2 gaming chip to improve graphics and reduce lag during gaming sessions, making this a great pick for mobile gamers.

The iQOO 13’s display is a 6.82-inch 2K OLED panel with LTPO 2.0 technology, supporting a super-smooth 144Hz refresh rate. This screen is designed for vibrant colors, sharp details, and smooth visuals. Its camera setup includes three 50-megapixel sensors: a main sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS), a telephoto lens, and an ultra-wide lens, all promising impressive shots in different settings. The rear camera module also features an “Energy Halo” LED light that can be customized for different notifications.

It packs a 6,150mAh battery with 120W fast charging, so you’ll be back up to full power in no time. The phone’s durability is backed by IP68/IP69 ratings, meaning it’s well-protected against dust and water. Connectivity options are top-notch, with 5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and USB-C.

Realme GT 7 Pro

Realme’s GT 7 Pro is expected to arrive in late 2024, with rumors suggesting a launch price of around CNY 3,999 (approx. Rs 47,100) in China for the base model. Realme has focused on balancing premium features with affordability, making this an appealing choice for people wanting high performance without a huge price tag.

The GT 7 Pro’s display is expected to be a 6.78-inch OLED Plus screen with a 2780x1264 resolution and a peak brightness of up to 6,000 nits, which should make it easy to see even in direct sunlight. The screen will support Dolby Vision and the DCI-P3 color gamut for rich, immersive visuals, and it’s protected by Gorilla Glass Victus 2.

Like the other two models, the GT 7 Pro will use the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor and likely come with up to 24GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. This setup should handle even the most demanding apps with ease. For photography, it’s rumored to have a 50-megapixel main camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide, and a 50-megapixel telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom. A 16-megapixel front camera rounds out the lineup for video calls and selfies.

The battery is expected to be a large 6,500mAh, with support for 120W fast charging. Like its competitors, it includes 5G connectivity, Wi-Fi 7, and dual stereo speakers for an enhanced audio experience.

Each of these phones brings something unique to the table, whether it’s the OnePlus 13’s durability and camera setup, the iQOO 13’s gaming features, or the Realme GT 7 Pro’s balance of premium features at a more affordable price. With their impressive specs and innovative designs, these flagships are sure to capture attention as 2025 kicks off.
