- India beat South Africa by 61 runs in the 1st T20I
- Sanju Samson was the hero of the match
- Will India change their combination for 2nd T20I
India hammered South Africa by 61 runs in the first T20I match in Durban. On November 8, Friday, Sanju Samson and Varun Chakravarthy combined to extend India's dominance on South Africa - the team they beat to clinch the T20 World Cup earlier this year. The win helped India extend their unbeaten run at the venue, winning their 5th match in the venue out of 7 games.
The beloved venue of the famous bowl-out between India and Pakistan, India once again put in a clinical performance with both bat and ball. Sent to bat first in overcast conditions, first India put up a 202/8 in the first innings and then successfully bowled out South Africa for 141 in 17.5 overs.
The win was orchestrated by a stunning 47-ball hundred from Sanju Samson and then a middle-overs block from Varun Chakravarthy and Ravi Bishnoi which choked out South Africa's famed middle-order line-up in the second innings of the match.
SA vs IND, 1st T20I: Match Report
The only blot in India's win was perhaps the middle-order which collapsed late in the first innings. However, captain Suryakumar Yadav was not too concerned about the team and said that aggressive intent will bring such risks.
India are unlikely to change their batting order at all, as they would like their strong performers to do better and give others another chance in the tour. They, however, might opt to change their bowling combination for the second T20I, just to check out their bench strength.

Possible Changes
Axar Patel was barely used in the bowling attack. The spin-bowling all-rounder was handed just one over and batted just 7 balls in the first innings. It is possible that Axar is rested for the 2nd match and in his place Ramandeep Singh comes into the team. Ramandeep has come off an incredible Indian Premier League and is expected to make his debut in the tour.
The other change perhaps could be in the fast bowling department. Avesh Khan might be rested for either Yash Dayal or Vijaykumar Vyshak, who are in line for debuts as well.
India's Predicted Playing XI
Abhishek Sharma, Sanju Samson (wk), Suryakumar Yadav (c), Tilak Varma, Hardik Pandya, Rinku Singh, Axar Patel/Ramandeep Singh, Ravi Bishnoi, Varun Chakravarthy, Arshdeep Singh, Avesh Khan/Vijaykumar Vyshak/ Yash Dayal
