Superstar Rajinikanth received a deafening cheer from his fans as he arrived at the Nehru Indoor Stadium in Chennai to launch the 'prevue' of his upcoming film, Vettaiyan. Later, he stunned his fans with his dance moves on the song “Manasilaayo,” joined by music composer Anirudh Ravichander.

The film, also starring Amitabh Bachchan, will release in cinemas on October 10 in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, and Kannada.

Dressed in a black shirt, Rajinikanth entered the venue amid tight security, with the Vettaiyan song "Hunter Vantaar" playing in the background. Upon receiving the love of his fans, the actor smiled and waved at them. He also hugged music composer Anirudh Ravichander as he arrived at the event.

Fans of Thalaivar shared videos of his live dance performance, with some claiming that Rajinikanth danced at a public event after decades.

Directed by TJ Gnanavel, Vettaiyan is said to be laced with a hard-hitting social message and is one of the most anticipated films of 2024. The film will feature Thalaivar as an encounter specialist IPS officer, with Amitabh Bachchan playing his superior.

At the prevue launch event, Manju Warrier, Abhirami, dance choreographer Dinesh and the team also danced to the film's song 'Manasilaayo'.

Vettaiyan is an action drama written and directed by TJ Gnanavel of Kootathil Oruthan and Jai Bhim fame. The film's screenplay is written by B. Kiruthika. The film features an ensemble cast including Rajinikanth, Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Manju Warrier, Ritika Singh, Dushara Vijayan, Rohini, Rao Ramesh, and Ramesh Thilak in pivotal roles.

Produced by Lyca Productions, the film's music is composed by Anirudh Ravichander. Cinematographer S.R. Karthik and editor Philomin Raj are part of Vettaiyan's technical crew.

Amitabh Bachchan and Rajinikanth have previously shared the screen in films such as Hum, Andhaa Kanoon, and Geraftaar.
