Hollywood action director JJ Perry, known for films like John Wick, Fast and Furious, has joined the crew of Yash's upcoming film, Toxic. Upon his arrival in India, Perry expressed his excitement to work with Yash. Toxic is directed by Geetu Mohandas.

Perry was clicked at the airport on his maiden trip to India. Expressing his enthusiasm for the project, he said, “I’m really excited to have some fun with Yash and try out some crazy stuff together. It’s going to be awesome! Yash is an amazing actor, an incredible action performer, and truly kind and generous. I’m also thrilled to work with Geetu. I’m super-stoked to work in India with all these talented people.”

Known for his jaw-dropping sequences in John Wick, and Warrior, Perry said he couldn’t contain his excitement for Toxic. “I’m super excited about Toxic. I couldn’t sleep the whole plane ride; I was awake the entire time, going over my notes,” he shared.

Toxic stars Kiara Advani alongside Yash. Directed by Geetu Mohandas, the film is touted to be a gangster drama and was originally scheduled to release on April 10, 2025.

Recently, while speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, Yash confirmed that the film's release has been postponed. "We had to start a little early, but something went wrong. We had some date issues, so it took more time than expected. I won’t be able to come out with the film on that date", he said.

Yash was last seen in KGF Chapter 2. Apart from Toxic, he will be seen in Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana, featuring Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi.
